We’ve given the classic American brownie a Halloween twist by decorating it with both white and dark chocolate for a festive touch. This dessert is delicious and quick to prepare with simple, readily available ingredients. While brownies are typically baked as a large slab and cut into squares, this recipe from scratch is so good that you won’t want to go back to using a mix.
You can customize these brownies with your favorite toppings, like nuts, orange zest, chocolate chunks, cherries, or even a hint of mint. For the best results, we recommend using cake flour, but all-purpose flour will work just fine too. This Halloween brownie treat is sure to be a hit and perfect for celebrating the spooky season.
Ingredients:
for the Dough:
- 3/4 cup baking flour
- 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
- 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 12 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 5 oz dark chocolate
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 3 eggs
- 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
For decorating:
- 1 -2 oz of dark chocolate
- 1-2 oz white chocolate
- 12 chocolate eyes
- orange dye
- orange and black sprinkles.
Instructions.
Step 1
Place the oven rack in the center position. Preheat the oven to 325°F.
Step 2
In the microwave, melt the butter. Then, add the chopped chocolate to the hot butter.
Step 3
Pour in the salt and baking powder. Stir the mixture.
Then add the sugar and stir until the sugar is dissolved.
Step 4
Beat in the eggs one at a time with a whisk.
Step 5
Mix in the flour and cocoa with a dry whisk. Add the dry mixture to the liquid mixture. The dough should be pourable, homogeneous, and flow off the spatula on a wide ribbon. Cover a 9*9-inch mold with foil and pour the batter into it.
Bake the brownies for 30-35 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. Cool the baked goods in the mold.
Step 6
Melt the white chocolate and color it orange. Apply the scars and swirls with a cooking syringe in a chaotic pattern.
Step 7
Place your eyes on the chocolate and pattern it with melted dark chocolate. sprinkle with sprinkles.
Cool the brownies and cut them into servings. Serve with milk or milkshake. Enjoy!
