Survival movies are fiction, but those fictional tales are something preppers and survivalists enjoy watching because it’s a big what if. The writers who produce those movies are addressing some very real issues that are likely to come up in a real apocalypse.
The fictional shows capture the essence of resilience, resourcefulness, and the human spirit in the face of adversity. These themes resonate with preppers and survivalists. These films can provide both entertainment and valuable lessons in survival techniques.

6. The Martian

9. Snowpiercer
In a post-apocalyptic future, the last remnants of humanity are confined to a constantly moving train after Earth becomes a frozen wasteland. The film addresses themes of class, survival, and rebellion. It’s fantastical but maybe it could happen and how would you deal with a whole new way of life.

Another plane crash and another Alaskan wilderness. This movie follows two men who survive a plane crash in the Alaskan wilderness and must contend with dangerous animals and extreme weather. It’s a battle of survival and self-reliance.
