How to Make Rosemary Oil
Rosemary oil has the ability to restore dull hair, promote growth, heighten culinary dishes, and more. Here’s a guide on how to make rosemary oil at home.
- Olive Oil
- Dried Rosemary Leaves
- Optional: Cheesecloth or Cotton t-shirt
Start by adding 3 Tablespoons of dried rosemary to a mason jar.
Fill the rest of the mason jar with olive oil, ensuring all the rosemary is fully submerged.
Place the lid on the mason jar. Please give it a gentle shake to distribute the rosemary evenly.
Sit the jar near a window. Allow it to sit and infuse for 2-4 weeks. During this time, give the jar a gentle shake every few days to enhance the infusion process.
Once it is infused, you may want to strain out the dried rosemary. You can do this by placing a cheesecloth or strainer over the mouth of the mason jar.
Pour the rosemary olive oil mixture over the strainer to let the olive oil through, and keep the rosemary pieces on top. You will need a second mason jar or container for this part.
Press down on the rosemary remnants with a spoon or spatula to extract any remaining oil.
